——"External mid-face fixed traction system" application sharing
Distraction osteogenesis
Distraction Osteogenesis (DO) is an endogenous bone tissue engineering technology (Endogenous bone Engineering) is to cut the bone and place special distractors on both sides of the bone cutting line. After a certain delay period, the bone cutting gap is slowly stretched (0.8-1mm/day) to continuously widen the bone cutting gap and stimulate the body's tissue regeneration potential. New bone tissue is continuously formed in the distraction gap and the muscles, nerves, blood vessels, skin, etc. around the bone are lengthened at the same time, thereby achieving the purpose of lengthening the bone.
At present, the related applications of maxillofacial distraction osteogenesis have become a promising new field in the correction of dentofacial deformities.
External mid-face fixed traction system
Our company's "External Midfacial Fixation Traction System" is a product for maxillofacial distraction osteogenesis. It is suitable for traction cases of maxillary or midface migration after Lefort type I/II/III osteotomy in adults and children, as well as cases of underdevelopment of the midface due to congenital malformation syndrome or underdevelopment of midfacial bones in adolescents with cleft lip and palate, etc.
The traction system product consists of a fixed head frame, fixed nails, vertical and horizontal rods, facial traction device and connecting device. The "external mid-face fixation and traction system" is composed of lightweight aluminum, titanium, and carbon fiber components and is easy to wear. The surgical implantation and fixation operation is simple and convenient. It has the characteristics of stable fixation, easy distraction osteogenesis operation, and good postoperative distraction treatment effect. Its product performance and reliability of use are recognized and praised by experts from various orthognathic and orthodontic centers.

||Application cases of distraction treatment for mid-facial underdevelopment
Patient information: Male patient, 20Y
Past history: The patient's midface was underdeveloped after bilateral cleft lip and palate repair.
Physical examination showed that the upper jaw was underdeveloped and the mandibular was overdeveloped. Scars from cleft lip and palate repair surgery were visible on the upper lip, and the right nose was collapsed. In the permanent dentition, 2 upper front teeth were missing. Orthodontic brackets and archwires were visible on the upper and lower jaws, and the occlusal relationship was disordered. The face is symmetrical, the skin color is normal, and there are no tissue defects.
The patient's CT modeling showed: anterior crossbite, mesial relationship, chin protrusion, lower lip protrusion, Class III malocclusion; maxillary retrusion, mandibular protrusion, and maxillary and mandibular malocclusion. After full communication and consultation with the patient and his family, the treatment plan of Lefort type I osteotomy combined with external distraction osteogenesis was used for corrective treatment.

With the help of computer-aided analysis and modeling technology, the Lefort I line osteotomy of the patient's maxilla is simulated, the advancement distance of the distraction bone fragment is evaluated, and the fixed distraction plan is set. ↓
